Our Tuffbad spring has been found by monks from Maria Luggau, a well-known pilgrimage place nearby, when they were searching for herbs. For many centuries now this pure calcium-magnesium-sulphate-hydrogen-carbonate spring has been streaming out of ancient rocks with a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius. Already in 1765 the Duke of Porcia, Count of Ortenburg, allowed the erection of a bathing house for the monks. In 1972 the healing power of the spring was officially state-approved. It is ideal for the cleansing of the respiratory tract, for the well-being of the entire musculoskeletal system, for the purification of the body, for stress reduction and for relaxation. And so: relax, enjoy the quiet and spend some beautiful days in the mountains.
